Pre-Holiday Update

Hi folks,

I'd like to offer a heartfelt thank you for your performance and professionalism at Thursday's concert. That balanced with your willingness to have a laugh made for a wonderful night of music making. Your efforts combined with the generosity of our community raised over $1000 to support our program.

On account of the extra rehearsal time associated with the concert run-through and performance, we have satisfied our curricular time for this concert season. We will not have rehearsal for the remainder of the week - so hit the snooze button!

As you may recall from my November 22nd email on reporting, this week will be our halfway(ish) reporting period. I mistakenly shared the date my reporting must be submitted (Dec 16th), when in fact report cards will be made available on MyEd this Friday December 20th. While there has been an improvement overall in assignment submission over Q2, there is still room for improvement. Parents/Guardians, all assignments are posted to the classroom with descriptions of the assignment requirements as well as rubrics to help understand how the assignments were assessed.

Lastly, the art for this year's band swag is approved and edited for screenprinting. We will be working with VH to have an online store up and running after the holidays where orders can be placed and paid for online. More information will be provided upon our return to class in the new year.
