Band Update: Week of Nov 4th

Band Social

Thanks to all who attended our Halloween Band Social - it was great to see everyone getting to know each other through food and games. There was a brief interruption due to the fire alarm being pulled. Thank you to the music students for respectfully adhering to protocol. Rehearsal Schedule (No Rehearsal Monday)

I will be away Monday due to an unavoidable scheduling conflict. To compensate for the missed rehearsal time, I ask that we have full band rehearsal Tuesday and Wednesday this week. There will be no rehearsal Friday due to the scheduled Pro D day. Also note, there will be no rehearsal Monday in observance of Remembrance Day.

Assignments

The Q1 Rep Test assignment has closed and 0's have been assigned. Many of you were more punctual with your submissions, and I thank you for that. Timely submission of work is a baseline courtesy of how the world functions but it also gives me the opportunity to engage in meaningful feedback to help develop your musicianship. 

Kootenay Passport Fundraiser

We will once again run our Kootenay Passport Fundraiser, this year in collaboration with the Crowe MTB Team. Our fundraiser is an opportunity for you to raise funds for future travel opportunities. The cost of each book is $50, with $10 from each sale going towards your personal fundraising account (please note: funds cannot be removed and provided to you as cash). If you would like to participate in this fundraiser, please see Mr. V for a sale sheet. More details will be provided later this week.
